We develop confident, skillful, and resilient cyclists across cyclocross and cross-country MTB. Riders from clubs across the region come together for off-road cycling training with us midweek, then race for their home clubs on weekends. Our model is simple and effective: skills-first coaching, a supportive team culture, and a clear pathway from local racing to national and European events, making us a regional hub for youth cycling.
Northumbria Cycling Academy is a British Cycling–affiliated regional hub for youth cycling that welcomes riders from any North East club. This central place allows youth and junior riders to engage in off-road cycling training, including Criss country MTB and Cyclocross, alongside peers of the same age and ability. The result is better group dynamics, increased motivation, and faster progress—especially beneficial for riders whose home clubs may only have a handful of juniors.
